Blidinje Nature Park reforestation project plants 5,000 saplings
Through the “Return Greenery to Blidinje” initiative, a total of 5,000 saplings of fir, spruce, and maple have been planted in the Blidinje Nature Park in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This effort was completed across two separate reforestation actions held on October 17 and October 24 to restore areas damaged by a 2022 wildfire.
Approximately 400 volunteers participated in the project, including students, hikers, firefighters, and members of various scout organizations such as the Scout Union of the City of Zenica and Sarajevo-based units. Significant institutional support was provided by 90 employees from the Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Judicial Police of the Federation of BiH.
