Blok M serves as a central hub for Indonesia's 81st Independence Day celebrations

The Blok M area in South Jakarta has emerged as a prominent public gathering space for diverse demographics, including youth and families. To celebrate Indonesia's 81st Independence Day, the AQUA Ademin Indonesia celebration is being held in the district from August 15 to 22, 2026.

As part of the festivities, the Teras Adem installation offers interactive activities such as the ‘Adem Meter Challenge,’ where participants use smiles to measure levels of calmness. AQUA Marketing Director Adisti Nirmala noted that Blok M was selected due to its popularity and its ability to bring together people of all ages and backgrounds, a phenomenon sometimes colloquially referred to by locals as ‘Negara Blok M’ (Blok M Nation).
