Regarding environmental conditions, BMKG predicts partly cloudy skies for Jakarta, though warnings have been issued regarding a strong El Nino phenomenon that could lead to a prolonged dry season. On the morning of August 17, Jakarta's air quality was reported as unhealthy due to high PM 2.5 concentrations. Meanwhile, in Gorontalo, local communities are marking the occasion with coral reef transplantation activities.

To manage large-scale celebrations near the National Monument (Monas), the Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub DKI Jakarta) has finalized traffic and parking arrangements for August 17. The agency has designated 21 parking locations with a total capacity for 20,578 units. Head of the agency, Budi Awaluddin, stated that ‘situational traffic engineering will be implemented to ensure safety and order’ during the scheduled ceremonies and parades.
