Blood donation initiatives launch in Alessandria and Agrigento, Italy

The Lions Club Alessandria Host, together with the Leo Club, donated a specially made chair to AVIS Comunale di Alessandria to honor local blood donors. The presentation took place at Golf Club La Serra di Valenza, attended by about 200 community members, AVIS president Fabrizio Gambae, and Lions president Pierpaolo Fracchia, with organizer Marcello Canestri highlighting the civic spirit behind the gesture.

Separately, the DonatoriNati association of the State Police will hold an extraordinary blood‑collection day in Agrigento on 29 July, from 08:00 to 12:00, at the San Giovanni di Dio Hospital. The event will be attended by Questore Tommaso Palumbo, fire commander Calogero La Barbera, and DonatoriNati president Maurizio Dell’Arte, who aim to promote regular blood donation among the population.
