Blood donation initiatives scheduled across Italy for September 25

Multiple blood donation initiatives are scheduled for September 25, 2026, in Italy to address regional supply needs and promote social solidarity.

In Bitonto, AVIS Bitonto will host ‘AperiAvis’ at the Casa del Donatore. The event aims to thank existing donors and raise awareness among new citizens regarding the importance of voluntary blood donation. The evening will feature music and dialogue to strengthen the connection between the organization and the local community.

In the Lamezia Terme industrial area, Lameziaeuropa, T&T Porte, and AVIS Base Sant’Eufemia have organized a blood donation day titled ‘Insieme per il Sociale’. Taking place at the T&T Porte facility, the initiative utilizes a mobile blood collection unit. This effort follows an appeal from the Director of the Regional Blood Center to replenish regional stocks following the summer season.
