Blora District Kitchen Evaluated for Using Subsidized Oil in Free Meal Program
The Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG) kitchen in Bogowanti, Ngawen sub‑district of Blora, Central Java, was found using MinyaKita, a subsidised cooking oil, instead of the premium oil mandated for the Program Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG). Kitchen manager Sumining said the oil was sourced from a regular supplier and was adopted after seeing other MBG partners use the same product, noting that the switch occurred only the previous week.
Regional coordinator Artika Diannita of the SPPG Blora office stated that using subsidised oil contravenes programme standards that aim to guarantee nutritional quality, food safety and menu consistency. The coordinator announced that the office will conduct guidance and enforcement actions to ensure all partners return to approved premium ingredients.
