Blue Lock live-action film surpasses 1.2 billion yen in box office revenue

The live-action film adaptation of the popular soccer manga ‘Blue Lock’ has surpassed 1.2 billion yen in box office revenue. Within its first 31 days of release (August 7 to September 6), the film attracted 838,360 spectators.

To celebrate this milestone and the fact that the original manga series has exceeded 65 million copies in circulation, special promotional items will be distributed to theatergoers starting September 12. These gifts consist of three types of double-sided illustration cards featuring characters drawn by the original manga artist, Yusuke Nomura. The cards will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis at participating theaters.

The film stars Fumiya Takahashi and features a cast including Maon Sakurai, Kyohei Takahashi, and K (&TEAM). The production has also seen international success, notably in Taiwan, where it set a record for the highest-grossing Japanese live-action manga adaptation released in the last decade.
