Blue Origin New Glenn Explosion Delays Moon Lander Launch Plans

A catastrophic explosion occurred during a static‑fire test of Blue Origin’s New Glenn heavy‑lift rocket on May 28 at Launch Complex 36, Cape Canaveral. The blast destroyed the launch pad’s support tower and related ground systems but caused no injuries and did not involve the payload. Blue Origin says the main fuel tanks and boosters remain intact and expects New Glenn to fly again before the end of the year after repairs.
