Blue Origin secures $10 billion funding round at $130 billion valuation

Space company Blue Origin announced a $10 billion financing round that values the firm at roughly $130 billion. Jeff Bezos, the founder, contributed $2 billion of his own money, while hedge fund Coatue Management committed $4 billion and other undisclosed investors supplied the remaining $4 billion.

The cash infusion is intended to fund a series of large‑scale projects, including rebuilding the Cape Canaveral launch pad destroyed in a New Glenn rocket test failure, repairing the rocket, and expanding the launch‑vehicle fleet to support a target cadence of up to 100 flights per year. Blue Origin also plans to develop a 5,408‑satellite broadband constellation (TeraWave), lunar landing ships for NASA’s Artemis program, and components for the Orbital Reef space station.
