Bluey: The Movie teaser and release date announced

The first teaser trailer and poster for ‘Bluey: The Movie’ have been revealed during the D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. The CG-animated feature, based on the award-winning children's series, is scheduled for an exclusive theatrical release on August 6, 2027.

Written and directed by series creator Joe Brumm, the film follows Bluey, a Blue Heeler puppy, and her family—Chilli, Bandit, and Bingo—during an action-packed day when a surprise alters their plans. The production is a collaboration between Ludo Studio and BBC Studios, with distribution handled by Walt Disney Studios.

Returning voice actors include Melanie Zanetti as Chilli and David McCormack as Bandit. The film follows the massive success of the television series, which was the most-watched streaming program in the United States in 2025 and a top children's program on CBeebies and Disney+ in the United Kingdom.
