Blumenau hosts Texneo Novum cultural festival and Nova Rússia gastronomy event

The city of Blumenau in southern Brazil opened its weekend cultural program with the Texneo Novum Festival, running from Friday, August 31 through Sunday, September 2. Free daytime activities include MPB, jazz, blues, digital art projections, yoga, a feijoada, and a K‑pop‑focused Hallyu Fest, while evenings feature comedy, live music and a concert by the group NTX.

At the same time, the nearby Nova Rússia district announced its first gastronomy festival, scheduled for August 13‑30. Local restaurants, colonial cafés and wineries can apply to present winter‑season dishes, aiming to strengthen the area's culinary identity and attract tourists to the region’s natural attractions.
