Blumenau reports tourism growth and hosts Oktoberfest Lego exhibition

Blumenau has experienced a significant increase in tourism during the first half of 2026. According to the Blumenau Tourism Observatory, the city recorded 23,580 visitors, representing a 9.48% growth compared to the same period in 2025.

Domestic tourists account for 95.26% of visitors, with Santa Catarina providing 52.13% of the national total. International tourism also saw growth, rising 19.04% to reach 1,118 visitors from 50 different countries. The primary international markets include Germany, Chile, and Argentina.

To support this growth, local authorities and business representatives are collaborating to increase the average length of stay for visitors. In a related cultural event, a Lego exhibition at Norte Shopping will feature a miniature replica of the city's traditional Oktoberfest, constructed from over 200,000 pieces, running from September 2 to September 30.
