Blumenau to construct new roundabout and water network

The city of Blumenau has authorized the construction of a new roundabout at the intersection of Benjamin Constant, José Deeke, and Norberto Seara Heusi streets in the Escola Agrícola neighborhood. The project, which covers approximately 3,275 square meters, aims to reduce traffic congestion and improve safety for drivers and pedestrians.

The work will be executed by Construtora Schroeder e Schmidt Ltda. with an investment of R$ 1,179,900.00, funded by a parliamentary amendment from State Deputy Napoleão Bernardes. Construction is expected to begin within five days and take six months to complete. The intervention includes an elongated roundabout, new signaling, paving, and sidewalk adjustments.

Additionally, the water utility Samae will utilize the construction period to begin installing a new water main on Rua Benjamin Constant. This infrastructure project is expected to eventually improve water supply for over 58,000 residents across the Escola Agrícola, Vila Nova, Velha, and Água Verde neighborhoods.
