BMKG issues weather forecasts for Garut, Maluku, and Southwest Papua
The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has released weather forecasts for several Indonesian regions for August 31, 2026.
In Garut Regency, West Java, conditions are expected to be predominantly cloudy with temperatures ranging from 16 to 31 degrees Celsius and high humidity levels between 40 and 99 percent. While no heavy rain is indicated, residents are advised to watch for reduced visibility due to fog in highland areas.
In Maluku, seven regions are forecasted to experience sunny weather, while four areas, including Ambon and East Seram, are expected to be cloudy. Temperature and humidity levels vary across the eleven regencies and cities in the province.
In Southwest Papua, the forecast shows diverse conditions: Sorong and Raja Ampat are expected to be sunny, Sorong City will be partly cloudy, and both South Sorong and Maybrat will be cloudy. Tambrauw is predicted to experience hazy conditions.
