Indonesia weather forecast: Rain and haze predicted across multiple regions

The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has issued weather forecasts for various regions across Indonesia, predicting a mix of rain, cloudy skies, and hazy conditions.

In Jakarta, much of the city is expected to experience moderate to light rain, with temperatures ranging between 25°C and 32°C. High humidity levels are anticipated, particularly in East Jakarta. The Thousand Islands (Kepulauan Seribu) is expected to remain clear.

Other regional updates include:

• West Java: Light to moderate rain is predicted for several areas, including Bogor, Depok, Bekasi, and Sukabumi. • Yogyakarta: Most areas will be cloudy, with Kulon Progo facing potential hazy conditions and high humidity up to 99%. • Malang Raya: A mix of sunny, cloudy, and light rain is expected, with haze predicted for highland and mountainous areas. • Eastern Indonesia: Light rain is forecasted for Denpasar, Mamuju, Palu, Jayapura, and Jayawijaya, while other areas like Manado will remain partly cloudy.

BMKG advises the public to prepare for wet conditions by carrying umbrellas and to exercise caution when driving due to reduced visibility and slippery roads.
