In Maluku, six regions are predicted to be sunny, while other areas may see cloudy conditions. Papua Barat Daya also expects a mix of sunny, partly cloudy, and cloudy weather across its regencies.

On a broader scale, BMKG has issued warnings regarding a very strong El Nino phenomenon, which is expected to peak in early September and October 2026.
