BMW and Hyundai announce new vehicle generations with hybrid technology
BMW is preparing to launch the next generation of the Series 3, which will feature a technologically open propulsion concept. Alongside a fully electric version, the lineup will include highly efficient four and six-cylinder internal combustion engines equipped with 48V mild hybrid technology. Prototypes are currently undergoing final tuning at the Miramas proving ground in southern France, following previous testing in Arjeplog and at the Nürburgring.
The new Series 3 will adopt the Neue Klasse design language and feature the BMW Panoramic iDrive system. Technical improvements include an extended wheelbase, wider track, and a revised chassis designed to enhance dynamic performance through the BMW Driving Stack software.
Separately, Hyundai has expanded its model range with the official arrival of the new Palisade generation. This full-size SUV shifts away from diesel engines in favor of hybrid powertrains. The vehicle features a massive radiator grille with active aerodynamics and advanced LED lighting systems, targeting the premium family and executive vehicle segments.
