BMW Group posts higher motorcycle profit and Spanish unit tops €2.5 bn revenue
BMW Motorrad delivered 102,847 motorcycles and scooters worldwide in the first half of 2026, a 2.9% drop from the same period a year earlier. Despite the lower volume, the division’s pre‑tax profit rose 8.5% to €230 million, reflecting improved profitability.
In the same period, BMW Group’s automotive business sold 1,156,742 cars, down 4.2% year‑on‑year, and generated €1.974 billion of pre‑tax profit, a sharp decline from €3.626 billion in 2025.
BMW Ibérica, the Spanish subsidiary, recorded €2.537 billion in revenue for 2025, up 4.4% driven by higher sales of BMW (45,867 units, +1.4%) and Mini (9,343 units, +20%). However, net profit fell 4.4% to €38.44 million and operating profit dropped 20.6% to €47 million. The workforce remained stable at about 208 employees.
