BMW India launches X1 Long Wheelbase at Rs 49.90 lakh
BMW Group India has launched the X1 Long Wheelbase (LWB) in the Indian market with an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 49.90 lakh. The vehicle is assembled locally at the BMW manufacturing facility in Chennai.
The LWB variant features an extended wheelbase of 2,800 mm, which is 108 mm longer than the standard model. This modification provides 109 mm of additional rear kneeroom and 150 mm of extra legroom. To enhance passenger comfort, the rear seatbase has been extended by 15 mm and the seatbacks offer a recline of up to 28.5 degrees.
Under the hood, the SUV is powered by a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder BMW TwinPower Turbo petrol engine producing 156 hp and 230 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The model includes segment-first Adaptive LED headlights with a cornering function and a High Beam Assistant. Interior technology features BMW's Operating System 9 on a widescreen curved display, a 205W Harman Kardon sound system, and a 9-square-foot panoramic sunroof.
