BMW Motorrad launches 2027 model upgrades for its motorcycle line

BMW Motorrad announced its 2027 model‑year programme, adding new equipment, colour options and technical refinements across several models. The flagship M 1000 RR receives a third‑generation M Motorsport chassis that sheds about 1.3 kg and improves rigidity, together with standard M Forged Wheels and optional carbon‑fibre rims. The former M Competition package is replaced by new M Track Package I and II, featuring components such as the M Endurance chain, billet parts and carbon‑fibre pieces.

The S 1000 RR gains a new M Sport Blackstorm Metallic finish, a standard USB port in selected options and the M Forged Wheels as the primary wheel set. The sport‑touring F 900 XR adds a Comfort package that includes the durable M Endurance Chain, aimed at reducing maintenance for long‑distance riding. New paint schemes and special editions are introduced for various models, while some existing colours and editions are withdrawn.

BMW’s 2027 range does not list any updates for its flagship adventure‑touring GS family (R 1300 GS, F 900 GS, etc.). The omission has prompted European media to speculate that the company may be preparing a future R 1350 GS, an evolution of the current GS line, possibly for a late‑2027 reveal or early‑2028 launch.
