BMW Motorrad unveils GS Trophy competition bike for 2026 Romania event

BMW Motorrad announced the GS Trophy Competition Bike, a specially equipped version of the BMW R 12 G/S, for the 2026 International GS Trophy that will take place in Romania in late summer. The bike features a Light White base colour with blue tank stripes and a red seat, a Comfort Package with hill‑start control, gear‑shift assist, heated grips and cruise control, Headlight Pro adaptive lighting, Riding Modes Pro and an Enduro Package with off‑road tyres, an 18‑inch rear wheel and handlebar risers. Additional equipment includes engine protection bars, cylinder head covers, a Rally cockpit fairing, navigation preparation, an Akrapovič silencer and a 5‑litre tank‑bag that can serve as a rear bag.

The model is exclusive to the competition and is not sold as‑is, but owners can recreate its specification by adding the listed packs and accessories to a standard BMW R 12 G/S. The bike will be used by national teams navigating Romania’s rugged terrain, forests and mountains, testing riding skill and precision under demanding off‑road conditions.
