BMW Motorrad unveils M 1000 R 2027 and tests new adventure bike

BMW Motorrad has introduced several new developments in its motorcycle lineup, including the high-performance M 1000 R 2027 naked bike and a new mid-weight adventure motorcycle prototype.

The M 1000 R 2027 utilizes a 999 cc four-cylinder engine derived from the S 1000 RR, producing 210 CV at 13,750 rpm and 113 Nm of torque. The model features ShiftCam variable valve distribution and titanium valves to handle high RPMs. To manage wind resistance at speeds up to 280 km/h, the bike incorporates active aerodynamics with movable winglets.

Additionally, BMW is testing a new mid-weight adventure motorcycle designed to bridge the gap between the F 450 GS and F 900 GS models. The prototype appears to share chassis and braking components with the F 900 GS, featuring spoked wheels with a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear setup. The engine is expected to be a heavily revised version of the F 450 GS unit, which BMW develops in collaboration with TVS.
