BMW reveals X1 LWB ahead of India launch
BMW has revealed the X1 LWB, an extended wheelbase version of its compact SUV, ahead of its scheduled launch in India on August 21. This model serves as the exclusive petrol-powered option in the local X1 lineup.
The LWB iteration features an overall length increase of 116mm and a wheelbase extension of 108mm compared to the standard version, providing 109mm of additional rear knee room. It is equipped with a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 156 bhp and 230 Nm of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Key features include adaptive LED headlights, a panoramic glass roof, dual-zone climate control, and an 8-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Safety specifications include eight airbags, a 360-degree camera, and a Level-2 ADAS suite. The vehicle is expected to be priced between INR 43.50 lakh and INR 45.00 lakh (ex-showroom).
