BMW unveils 2027 S 1000 RR design with 215 hp, prototype details confirmed

A design patent image filed in India reveals BMW Motorrad’s upcoming 2027 S 1000 RR. The visual appearance matches the 2025 Concept RR shown at Villa d’Este, retaining integrated winglets, a large central ram‑air intake and a minimalist tail. The patent indicates a power output of 215 PS (158 kW), five horsepower more than the current model. Production is slated to begin in May 2027 with a market launch in the summer of 2027. The filing protects only the motorcycle’s exterior shape, so components such as mirrors, lighting, exhaust and carbon parts may still be altered before final release.
