BMW unveils custom M5 Touring police edition

BMW's M division has developed a specialized police version of the M5 Touring. The vehicle features a 4.4-liter V8 engine paired with an electric motor, producing a combined 727 HP and 1,000 Nm of torque. This configuration allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, with a top speed reaching 305 km/h when equipped with the M Driver's Package.

The custom build includes official police livery and integrated blue flashing lights. Due to the M5's wider body and unique bumpers, the standard blue and yellow police graphics had to be specifically adapted. While the exterior is highly convincing, the interior retains standard M5 features, such as red leather seats, and lacks the specialized storage compartments and equipment typically found in functional patrol vehicles.
