BMW unveils custom paint options for i7 and 7 Series
BMW has unveiled a new aesthetic direction for its luxury electric sedan, the i7, featuring a distinctive ‘Maldives Blue’ finish. Inspired by the waters of the Maldives, this color is part of the BMW Individual customization program. The showcased i7 xDrive60 variant features a ‘Smoke White’ Merino leather interior and is equipped with dual electric motors producing 536 horsepower and 745 Nm of torque. The vehicle offers a range of up to 728 kilometers and supports 250 kW charging, allowing a 10 to 80 percent charge in approximately 28 minutes.
In addition to new color options, BMW is offering an extensive ‘Individual Dual-Finish’ paint treatment for the 7 Series and i7 models. This process combines matte and metallic finishes, with the separation line applied by hand to create a subtle transition. The labor-intensive procedure involves 12 stages and more than 20 specialists. In Germany and the United States, this specialized paint job is priced at approximately €14,000 or $14,000.
