BMW unveils major 2027 updates for motorcycles and 7 Series

BMW Motorrad announced a comprehensive refresh for the 2027 model year, adding lighter M‑Sport frames, new carbon wheel options, revised package structures and practical upgrades such as USB charging ports across its supersport, roadster and touring bikes. The updates also include new colour schemes, performance‑focused components for the M 1000 RR, and enhanced accessories for the R 1300 series.

In parallel, BMW began series production of the revised 7 Series at the Dingolfing plant on 1 July 2026, integrating technologies from the company’s new “Neue Klasse” platform. The facelifted flagship features slimmer headlights, a redesigned grille and a refreshed interior with a larger central screen. Power‑train options span efficient gasoline, diesel, plug‑in hybrids and the fully electric i7, which BMW says can achieve up to 728 km (WLTP) and charge from 10 % to 80 % in about 28 minutes using its sixth‑generation eDrive round‑cell battery.
