BMW has announced the pricing and specifications for the fifth-generation X5 in Australia. The luxury SUV is expected to arrive in the fourth quarter of 2026, featuring both petrol and diesel six-cylinder engine options equipped with 48V mild-hybrid systems.
The diesel-powered 40d xDrive is priced at $143,900 before on-road costs, while the petrol-powered 40 xDrive is priced at $145,900. Both models represent a price increase over their predecessors. The lineup is set to expand in the first quarter of 2027 with the introduction of the electric iX5 and the plug-in hybrid X5 50e xDrive.
Design updates include the Neue Klasse design language, characterized by bolder exterior styling and taller, narrower kidney grilles. Interior enhancements feature BMW Panoramic Vision, a display running across the base of the windscreen, a 17.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, and standard equipment such as ventilated and massaging front seats.
