BNDES approves R$ 42.8 million for Coasul storage expansion

The Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) has approved R$ 42.8 million in financing for the Coasul Agroindustrial Cooperative to expand its storage capacity in the state of Paraná. The funding, provided through the Program for the Construction and Expansion of Warehouses (PCA), covers 98.2% of the total R$ 43.6 million investment.

The expansion aims to increase storage capacity by 24,000 tons across two locations: Laranjal and São João. In Laranjal, R$ 33.7 million will be used to build silos, an input warehouse, and support structures. In São João, R$ 9.9 million will fund the construction of two 6,000-ton silos and a grain cleaning machine. The project is intended to increase the cooperative's autonomy in receiving grains and reduce truck unloading bottlenecks during peak harvest periods.
