Spanish political leaders intensify campaigns ahead of November 29 elections
As the Spanish general elections approach on November 29, political leaders are intensifying their campaigns. Alberto Núñez Feijóo, leader of the Partido Popular (PP), is conducting an extensive tour across Spain, including visits to Barcelona, Ceuta, and Toledo, to secure seats in various provinces. During a meeting in Brussels with the European People's Party, Feijóo pledged to investigate the July migration crisis in Ceuta if he reaches Moncloa, accusing the current government of attempting to hide the facts.
Feijóo also addressed economic concerns, stating that pensions are ‘innegotiable’ and will be updated according to the CPI. Meanwhile, the BNG's Ana Pontón emphasized the importance of a strong Galician presence in Madrid to counter what she termed the ‘reactionary block,’ while ruling out coalitions with other left-wing forces.
In Navarre, UPN President Cristina Ibarrola confirmed a coalition agreement with the PP for the general elections, noting that the pact is focused on the national stage to decide between Pedro Sánchez and Feijóo, while maintaining UPN's distinct identity for local and regional matters.
