Kevin Zenón transfers from Boca Juniors to Atlas for $6 million

Boca Juniors has reached an agreement to sell 25-year-old midfielder Kevin Zenón to Atlas of Mexico for approximately $6 million. The deal covers 100% of the player's rights, which will be paid in five installments through December 2027.

As Boca Juniors held 80% of Zenón's economic rights, the club is set to receive roughly $4.8 million, allowing them to recoup their initial 2024 investment. The remaining 20%, totaling $1.2 million, will go to Unión de Santa Fe, the club where Zenón was developed.

Zenón, who appeared in 92 matches for Boca with 12 goals and eight assists, is expected to sign a four-year contract with the Guadalajara-based club. The transfer was a priority for Atlas manager Hernán Crespo. To accommodate Zenón's arrival under Liga MX foreign player limits, Atlas may need to release an existing foreign player, with defender Rodrigo Schlegel cited as a potential candidate for departure.
