Boca Juniors announces major renovations at La Bombonera

Boca Juniors has announced a series of infrastructure projects and renovations at La Bombonera stadium as part of a broader expansion plan led by the administration of Juan Román Riquelme. The club aims to increase the stadium's capacity while maintaining its current location at Brandsen 805.

Specific upcoming works include the construction of a 1,000-square-meter slab beneath the 'La 12' stand to widen circulation corridors from 5 to 15 meters. This area will also feature a new food court with four gastronomic stalls, tripled sanitary facilities, and a modern medical assistance center for approximately 6,000 members.

Further plans involve a major overhaul of the preferential seating area. The current structure, which holds 3,000 spectators, is slated for demolition and replacement. By shifting the pitch toward the tracks, the club intends to expand that specific sector to accommodate 9,500 seats. Other improvements include a renovated main entrance at Brandsen 805, featuring a larger hall and a new LED screen.
