River Plate midfielder Aníbal Moreno suffers injury ahead of Superclásico

River Plate midfielder Aníbal Moreno sustained an injury during a match against Racing, potentially sidelining him for the upcoming Superclásico against Boca Juniors. Moreno, who was recovering from a previous lumbar discopathy, had to be substituted in the first half of the match at the Monumental.

Youth player Lucas Silva entered the game in place of the injured midfielder. This loss comes at a critical time for River Plate, as the team is also dealing with the absence of Fausto Vera due to a muscle tear. The injury adds significant pressure to Leonardo Ponzio's squad management ahead of the high-stakes derby at La Bombonera.
