Bodacz Balázs resigns from Hungarian TV channel ATV

Popular Hungarian presenter Bodacz Balázs announced his departure from ATV during a live broadcast, ending a four‑year tenure at the network. In his farewell, he thanked viewers and colleagues and said he will continue his career at a workplace that values information free from lies, manipulation and fake news. ATV later confirmed the resignation and named editor‑in‑chief Tamás Boros as his successor.

Mayor Pikó András publicly criticized the prospect of Bodacz holding a senior position in public media, citing his past work on the HírTV program "Célpont" and alleging involvement in propaganda targeting student groups. Pikó questioned whether a former broadcaster implicated in such activities should lead a major media outlet.
