Turkish suspect K. E. arrested for murder of Russian Ljudmila Turková in Belgrade
Ljudmila Turková Konstantinova, a 28‑year‑old Russian citizen, disappeared on 25 July in Belgrade after being seen entering a rented apartment in the Borča neighbourhood with 25‑year‑old Turkish citizen K. E. Surveillance footage captured the pair arriving together and, the next morning, K. E. leaving the building carrying a large suitcase. Investigators say the suspect killed the woman inside the apartment, placed her body in the suitcase and later dumped it in the Vizelj canal near Padinska Skela. Police dog Aki located the suitcase with the body. K. E. was arrested at Nikola Tesla Airport while attempting to leave Serbia and was detained for up to 48 hours pending aggravated‑murder charges. The Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade ordered the arrest, and the investigation remains ongoing.
