Boeing has been awarded a massive indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract by the U.S. Department of Defense for the F-15 Eagle Crest program. The contract has a maximum ceiling of $131.23 billion and covers a wide range of activities, including aircraft production, systems integration, modernization, upgrades, retrofits, and sustainment. Work is expected to be centered in St. Louis, Missouri, and the program is slated for completion by August 2037.

The initial ordering period is scheduled to run through August 24, 2031, with an option to extend the period until August 24, 2036. While the contract ceiling is substantial, it is important to note that only $343,740 in research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT&E) funds were formally committed at the time of the award. Actual revenue for Boeing will depend on specific orders placed under the agreement.

The contract also includes Foreign Military Sales (FMS) opportunities, identifying several allied nations as potential customers, including Japan, Israel, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, and Poland. This long-term framework provides Boeing with significant visibility for its defense business over the next decade.
