Bogotá cultural program offers interactive art installation and free animation workshop
The District Ministry of Culture, Recreation and Sport opened the large‑scale interactive installation “Vaivén” at the Centro Felicidad (CEFE) Chapinero. The public could attend free of charge from Thursday 9 July to Sunday 12 July 2026, with motion‑sensor technology that changes visual and audio elements in real time as visitors move.
At the same time, the Institute of District Arts (Idartes) and the Galería Santa Fe hosted a three‑day free workshop titled “Ríos, cámaras y acción: laboratorio vacacional de animación” from Friday 8 to Sunday 10 July 2026. Open to children, youth and families, the lab taught frame‑by‑frame animation techniques while exploring urban rivers, environmental themes and cultural memory. Both initiatives aim to democratise access to contemporary digital art and encourage community participation in Bogotá’s cultural life.
