Bogotá declares BTS Guests of Honor for first Colombia visit

Bogotá Mayor Carlos Fernando Galán has announced that the South Korean K-pop group BTS will be declared ‘Guests of Honor’ during their first visit to Colombia. The group, consisting of members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, is scheduled to perform at El Campín Stadium on October 2 and 3, 2026, as part of their ‘Arirang World Tour’.

To welcome the group and their global fanbase, known as ARMY, the city plans to illuminate the Palacio Liévano and the Torre Colpatria in purple. The initiative follows a campaign by local fans to ensure the visit includes institutional recognition and special logistical support for the thousands of attendees expected to travel to the capital.

The tour follows the group's return to the stage after completing their mandatory military service in South Korea. The performances will center on their fifth studio album, ‘Arirang’, released in March 2026.
