Bogotá hosts XIX Danza en la Ciudad festival

The XIX Danza en la Ciudad festival, organized by the Instituto Distrital de las Artes (Idartes), will take place in Bogotá from November 6 to 16, 2026. Under the theme ‘Tejiendo movimiento’, the event aims to use dance as a language to connect territories, memories, and communities.

The festival features approximately 450 artists and more than 29 free performances across various locations in the capital. The program includes national and international companies, district groups, and established and emerging artists.

Key highlights include the opening performance by the Brazilian company Quasar Cia. de Dança at the Teatro Jorge Eliécer Gaitán on November 6. The international lineup also features Ecuadorian group El Pez Dorado, alongside contributions from artists in Medellín and Cali.
