Bogotá implements Pico y Placa traffic restrictions

The Bogotá Mobility Secretariat has implemented the Pico y Placa vehicle restriction program for Wednesday, October 28. The measure aims to improve urban mobility and reduce environmental pollution by limiting the number of vehicles on the road.

For private vehicles, those with license plates ending in 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 are prohibited from circulating between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Vehicles with plates ending in 6, 7, 8, 9, or 0 are permitted to transit.

Taxis and special transport vehicles follow a different rotation; for this Wednesday, vehicles with plates ending in 1 and 2 are restricted from 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Drivers who violate these regulations face fines of approximately 604,100 pesos, equivalent to 15 daily minimum wages, and potential vehicle immobilization.
