Bogotá launches 100 virtual scholarships for higher education
The Bogotá District Government Secretariat of Government, in partnership with Educa Edtech, has launched a call for 100 virtual scholarships for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs. The initiative aims to expand access to higher education across all 20 localities of the capital.
The scholarship distribution includes 30 spots for undergraduate programs, 40 for master's degrees, and 30 for doctoral studies. Programs offered include software engineering, computer systems, information security, and marketing. Upon completion, students can obtain certificates from international higher education institutions.
Applications must be submitted online via the alcaldiascol.com portal by October 25. Applicants must reside in Bogotá and meet specific academic requirements, such as being a high school graduate for undergraduate studies or holding a professional degree for master's and doctoral levels. This initiative comes as the city seeks to address labor market demands in sectors like technology and infrastructure.
