Bogotá launches public vote for Metro Line 1 sound identity
Bogotá has launched a public initiative called ‘Vocímetro’ to allow citizens to participate in defining the sonic identity of Metro Line 1. Through an online platform, residents can vote on the various sounds and voices that will accompany passengers during their daily commutes in both trains and stations.
The voting process covers three main categories: the specific voices used for announcements, coexistence messages, and ambient sounds. For the voice selection, the platform presents six alternatives, consisting of three male and three female voices.
Participation is conducted entirely online via mobile phone or computer, requiring less than five minutes to complete. Users must access the official Vocímetro portal, accept the terms of use, and ensure their device's sound is enabled to evaluate the interactive proposals before casting their votes.
