Bogotá Metro Line 1 reaches 82% construction completion

Construction of Bogotá's first Metro Line is 82.33% complete as of August 31, 2026. The project, which aims to connect the north and south of the city, is currently scheduled to begin operations in March 2028.

Key infrastructure milestones include the construction of 17 out of the planned 24 kilometers of viaduct. Additionally, 17 trains have arrived and are currently undergoing operational testing at the workshop located in the Bosa district.
