Bogotá opens new rent subsidy call for residents

The District has opened a new call for rent subsidies, providing more than 1 million pesos to eligible residents. To qualify, applicants must have an adult head of household, earn no more than one minimum monthly wage, and possess a valid lease agreement.

Additional requirements include not owning property within the national territory and not having previously benefited from a housing subsidy. The housing unit must be independent, located in a legalized sector, and meet minimum habitability standards verified by the Secretaría Distrital del Hábitat.

Application sessions are scheduled across various localities throughout September:

• Suba: September 7–10 at CDC Tibabuyes. • Santa Fe: September 7–8 at the Centro de Memoria Paz y Reconciliación (special session for victims). • Ciudad Bolívar: September 14–15 at the Local Mayor's Office. • Kennedy: September 16–18 at the Local Mayor's Office. • Chapinero: September 22–23 at the Secretaría Distrital del Hábitat auditorium.
