Bogotá police arrest two armed suspects; Pasto supermarkets report unusual couple thefts

In Bogotá, police acted on a citizen tip and captured two men in the Villa Mayor neighbourhood, near a bank. The men were inside a vehicle adapted for persons with disabilities when officers discovered a .38 caliber revolver and ammunition. Both have prior theft convictions and are now facing charges for illegal firearm possession and a possible robbery.

In Pasto, merchants say a couple repeatedly stole merchandise from a supermarket on Calle 16, hiding items in intimate areas. Alder Tundama, a local shopkeeper, reported, “The woman took the products and hid them in her intimate parts.” Similar incidents have been reported at other stores, leading to economic losses and calls for increased police presence.
