Bojovník film premieres at Karlovy Vary with Slovak and Czech leads
The Czech‑Slovak drama *Bojovník* held its world premiere at the 60th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in early July. Slovak actor Ján Jackuliak plays the antagonist Hungarian wrestler Béla Kardos, describing his preparation that included boxing and MMA training and recalling the fear he felt before filming. Czech actor Milan Ondrík stars as former boxing champion Pavol “Hoff” Hoffmeister, speaking about his intuitive casting experience and preferring work in a gritty gym over red‑carpet events. The film is scheduled to open in Slovak cinemas on 13 August.
