Nigerian troops foil terrorist attacks and rescue kidnap victims
Nigerian military forces have conducted several successful operations across the North-East and North-West regions to disrupt insurgent activities. In Borno and Yobe states, troops under Operation HADIN KAI have foiled multiple Boko Haram and ISWAP ambushes, dismantled makeshift hideouts, and intercepted logistics supplies.
In Yobe, security forces arrested two suspected suppliers and recovered a large quantity of motorcycle spare parts, including tyres, crankshafts, and engine components, intended for terrorist elements. In Borno, military engagements along the Buni Gari–Buratai axis and in Pulka resulted in the destruction of insurgent camps and the recovery of ammunition, rocket-propelled grenade bombs, and motorcycles. While some military vehicles sustained damage during these encounters, no fatalities were reported among the troops in the recent Borno ambushes.
In Zamfara State, troops operating under Operation FANSAN YAMMA rescued 12 kidnapped civilians during separate operations in Kaura Namoda and Tsafe local government areas. The military successfully thwarted attempts by terrorists to intercept vehicles and infiltrate residences, forcing the attackers to flee.
