Bolivia and Ecuador Commence Major Road Infrastructure Projects

Bolivia’s Ministry of Public Works announced a 73 million‑boliviano tender to build the Pacata distributor in the municipality of Sacaba. Minister Mauricio Zamora said the project, delayed for years, should be awarded by September with an inauguration planned soon after.

In Ecuador, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport signed a contract with the World Bank and the Rodas Consortium to construct the Saraugsha variant on the E30 highway in Cotopaxi. The $3 million work, slated to begin in early July, includes drainage, slope stabilization and a four‑month construction schedule, with measures in place to mitigate potential El Niño impacts.
