Dominican Republic and Bolivia advance military and security initiatives

In the Dominican Republic, President Luis Abinader has inaugurated a modern military training complex aimed at enhancing the operational readiness, professionalization, and modernization of the Armed Forces. The President emphasized that strengthening military capabilities is a core commitment of his administration to ensure national security and protect borders.

Simultaneously, in Bolivia, Defense Minister Ernesto Justiniano has called for increased international cooperation to combat transnational organized crime and drug trafficking. Speaking at the A3C Forum in Panama, Justiniano advocated for strengthening the Bolivian Armed Forces' capacity to intervene in anti-narcotics efforts and proposed joint actions with neighboring countries like Brazil and Chile to secure vulnerable border regions.

In the Dominican Republic, the political organization Fuerza del Pueblo has also released a report criticizing the current administration's economic impact, noting that despite economic growth, the rising costs of food and school supplies have reduced the purchasing power of many households.
