Bolivian government authorizes Grade 100 aviation gasoline imports

The government has approved Supreme Decree 5729 to ensure the domestic supply of Grade 100 aviation gasoline. The measure allows both private individuals and legal entities, as well as airport fuel supply plant operators, to import and commercialize the fuel.

Under the new regulations, imported aviation gasoline will not receive the IEHD subsidy and will be sold at market prices. To facilitate this, the government has implemented a 0% import tariff on Grade 100 aviation gasoline, a rate that will remain in effect until December 31, 2027.

The decree was issued in response to a declared energy and social emergency. Regulatory bodies will be responsible for supervising product quality and ensuring compliance with current fuel quality regulations.
